Replaced a 15-year-old Japanese direct drive. The Orbit 02 is quieter between tracks and the bass is tighter — I notice the kick drum on jazz pressings in a way I simply didn't before.

Materials, chosen for the long listen
Every layer of the Orbit 02 is selected to absorb vibration, not transmit it — so what you hear is the record, not the room.
Hardwood plinth
Solid American walnut or European oak, kiln-dried and finished with a hand-rubbed oil. Internally damped with a constrained-layer core to deaden cabinet resonance.
Acrylic platter
30mm cast acrylic, polished to optical clarity. Its density and self-damping character closely match the vinyl record, reducing reflected vibration at the groove.
Isolated motor
A 24V AC synchronous motor sits in its own sorbothane-mounted pod, decoupled from the plinth. The result is a belt drive with the speed stability of direct drive.

What listeners say
Aggregated from verified owners. Reviews are collected 30 days after delivery, once the cartridge has broken in.
Setup took 20 minutes with the included gauge. The pre-mounted cartridge was already aligned — I just dialed in tracking force. Genuinely the most approachable high-end table I've owned.
Beautiful object on the shelf. Knocked one star because the dust cover hinges feel a touch light for the price. Sound, however, is impeccable for the money.
I demoed three tables in this range. The Orbit 02 was the only one that disappeared sonically — I stopped listening to the turntable and started listening to records. That's the whole point.
