I'm doing more SMD soldering and my old analog scope isn't cutting it. Looking for something under $300 with decent bandwidth. Has anyone tried the DS1054Z clones or should I save for a Rigol?
Turns out my retraction distance was too low AND my filament had absorbed moisture. Running it through the dryer for 4 hours and bumping retraction to 6mm fixed it completely. Sharing my profile in case it helps.
Took the weekend class and tried my first hand-cut dovetails in pine. The pins are a bit loose and I chipped out one tail. Would love feedback before I try walnut.

Looking for a decent dozuki for fine joinery. I've heard good things about the Suizan brand but open to other suggestions. Using it mostly for small boxes and inlay work.
Need to print an IP65-ish enclosure for a solar-powered sensor node. Anyone printed with ASA for outdoor use? Curving the top for water runoff — sharing the STL if it works out.
Finally got a nice dusty pink from avocado pits after three tries. The key was an alum mordant and a long simmer. Swipe for the color progression — from pale blush to this warm rose.
Built a small fume extractor using a 120mm PC fan and a carbon filter from an old range hood. Muted the fan with a PWM controller. Total cost around $18. Happy to share the wiring diagram.
